Looks can be deceiving. What's on the inside must not be the same as what's on the outside. At a pre-introduction event, a friend overheard a defensive Ruger representative trying to claim that the LCP was designed independently. He claimed that Ruger used a clean sheet of paper when designing the LCP. He was later heard mumbling under his breath, "well, carbon paper".<BR/><BR/>The success of the LCP is guaranteed. They are becoming quite popular and I have had a few come through my CHL classes.<BR/>I've never actually fire-tested one, but I've put a couple of boxes of ammunition through them.<BR/>As to the CTC LaserGrip--I should have been a bit more definite. It was demonstrated for SEOPA (Southeastern Outdoor Press Association) at their October, 2008 shooting day at the Gatlinburg (TN) Gun Club. A fellow member was a hand model for me, holding the gun for the camera.
